Where are we based?

The Purple Theatre Company is based in and around Uxbridge in Middlesex, West London. You do not have to live in the area to join, but please bear in mind any travel requirements that may be necessary in order to attend rehearsals and show dates.

Membership Fee

If you decide you wish to join the group, there will be a £20 (students & the unemployed rates are available on request) membership fee, which covers administration costs and insurance. It also entitles you to a quarterly newsletter detailing events happening in the group and social activities in which you can take part.

In addition there is a contribution of £20 per show for musicals, £15 for other shows, to help fund the production cost of the show. In some circumstances, this can be reduced by consultation with the Company Manager or treasurer.

Age

In order for us to perform without having to obtain child licences, all group members must be over 18 years old.

Who can join?

Just about anyone. The only restrictions we have are on age, you must be 18 or over so we can avoid problems with child licences and insurance.

We are always looking for new members. so if you would like to be an actor / actress, director or be involved in the technical side of a show please send us a message or call us.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will generally be all-day Sunday, but possibly with the addition of Wednesday or Thursday evenings nearer the date of the show. If you cannot commit to these times, please think seriously about auditioning for a part.

You will be expected to 'learn your lines' outside of scheduled rehearsals.
